Top Exhaust — Higher Airflow Where It Matters

The S7 differs from its sibling the S6 in one key respect: it exhausts heat upward through the top of the unit rather than out the rear. This top-exhaust configuration is ideal for open rack installations or equipment positioned away from rear walls, allowing warm air to rise naturally and escape freely. With a total airflow of 140 CFM — 40% more than the rear-exhaust S6 — the S7 is the higher-performance choice for equipment that runs hotter or in environments with less natural ventilation.

Intelligent Thermal Programming

The S7 isn't a simple on/off fan — it's a smart cooling system. The front-panel controller offers three programming modes, including two temperature-triggered modes that automatically activate the fans when a set thermal threshold is reached and disengage when temperatures return to normal. A continuous-run mode and an off setting complete the options, giving you full control over how and when the system operates.

Within each active mode, four fan speed settings are available, allowing you to fine-tune the balance between airflow and noise to suit your specific setup and environment. The result is a cooling solution that works exactly as hard as it needs to — and no harder.

Whisper-Quiet Dual Ball Bearing Fans

Inside the steel enclosure sit two dual ball bearing fans, each driven by a PWM (pulse-width modulation) controlled motor. PWM motor control is specifically chosen to minimise audible noise during speed transitions — a critical consideration in a listening environment. At just 19 dBA, the S7 operates at a noise level that is effectively inaudible in normal room conditions. The fans are suspended on silicone mounts that absorb vibration before it can transfer to your equipment or the surfaces around it.

The dual ball bearing design — as opposed to sleeve bearings used in cheaper alternatives — delivers an L10 rated lifespan of 67,000 hours and allows the unit to be mounted in either horizontal or vertical orientation without any impact on longevity or performance.

Low-Profile Design for Tight Spaces

At just 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) tall, the S7 is specifically engineered to fit in AV cabinets and rack spaces where vertical clearance is limited. Its slim profile means it can be slipped between components in a stack without disrupting your system layout.

Robust Construction — Stack Up to 4.5 kg on Top

The S7's chassis combines aluminium and steel construction for rigidity and durability, and is rated to support additional components stacked on top weighing up to 10 lbs (approximately 4.5 kg). Simply position the S7 on top of the receiver or component that needs cooling and place whatever sits above it directly on the S7's surface.

Universal Power Compatibility

The included corded power adapter accepts 100–240V AC input, making the S7 universally compatible with mains power worldwide. The 72-inch (6-foot) cord provides ample reach to your nearest outlet without requiring an extension cable in most installations.
