AV Processors
AV Processors
If you want to take your home theatre sound to the next level, consider buying a separate processor and amplifier. Breaking these components into two units will let you scale up your system to a larger room, power more demanding speakers, and give you a significantly improved performance compared to your average AV receiver.
An AV processor does much of what an AV receiver does, including surround processing, preamplification, and AV switching, but it doesn’t do power amplification. For that, check out our selection of home theatre amplifiers to pair with your processor.
When buying a processor, make sure that it has all the connections (especially HDMI) that you need for all the components in your system, plus a couple extra in case you decide to add to it down the road. Keep an eye out for any other connection types or features that are important to you, and you can always let us know if you have any questions, and we’ll be happy to answer all your questions!
