The AIRCOM S9 is the flagship of the AIRCOM cooling fan range — combining the large 17-inch coverage area of the S8 with a top-exhaust configuration and the highest airflow of the entire lineup at 210 CFM. Designed for full-width AV receivers, game consoles and large AV components that run hot, the S9 delivers exceptional thermal management with whisper-quiet operation in a slim, unobtrusive form factor.

Top Exhaust — Maximum Airflow, Natural Convection

The S9's top-exhaust design works with the natural physics of heat — warm air rises, and the S9 channels it directly upward and out of the unit, away from your equipment. This makes it the ideal choice for open rack installations or setups where rear clearance is limited. With 210 CFM of total airflow — the highest in the AIRCOM range and 31% more than the rear-exhaust S8 — the S9 is built for components that demand the most aggressive cooling available.

Intelligent Thermal Programming

The S9 features the same smart programming system found across the AIRCOM range. The front-panel controller offers three programming modes, including two temperature-triggered modes that automatically activate the fans when a set thermal threshold is reached and disengage when temperatures normalise. A continuous-run mode and an off setting provide complete flexibility for any installation.

Within each active mode, four fan speed settings allow precise control over the balance between airflow and noise — ensuring the S9 works at exactly the level your equipment requires.

Three PWM Dual Ball Bearing Fans — 210 CFM

Three dual ball bearing fans, each driven by a PWM (pulse-width modulation) controlled motor, deliver a combined 210 CFM of airflow through the top of the unit. PWM motor control minimises audible noise during speed transitions, while the dual ball bearing construction provides a rated L10 lifespan of 67,000 hours. Each fan is suspended on silicone mounts to isolate vibration from the unit and the equipment beneath it.

At just 21 dBA, the S9 achieves its class-leading airflow figures with remarkably low noise — a significant engineering achievement for a three-fan system at this output level.

Low-Profile Design — 43.2 x 34.3 x 3.8 cm

Despite its large footprint, the S9 maintains the same slim 3.8 cm profile as the rest of the AIRCOM range, allowing it to slip into AV cabinets and rack systems with limited vertical clearance. Its 43.2 x 34.3 cm coverage area ensures even, full-surface cooling across large receivers and amplifiers.

Heavy-Duty Construction — Stack Up to 13.6 kg on Top

The S9's aluminium and steel chassis is rated to support components stacked on top weighing up to 13.6 kg — making it suitable for use between heavy components in a stacked rack system without any concern about structural integrity.
