While a record player may seem simple, there are a lot of important elements to consider when you’re trying to find “the one”. There are players that are fully automatic, semi-automatic, and manual, as well as ones that include phono pre-amplifiers onboard, or USB outputs for recording. Some record players will also play at different speeds, including 78 RPM, 33 1/3 and 45rpm. And of course, they’ll have varying types and qualities of tonearms, cartridges, needles, and platters.
