These drivers are expensive to manufacture and demanding to implement correctly, which is why relatively few speaker designers use them. Marten's crossover designs are developed to allow these exceptional drivers to work at their best, using air-core inductors and film capacitors that contribute no sonic signature of their own. The cabinet construction uses high-density MDF laminated with real wood veneers in a range of finishes, braced internally to eliminate resonance.
