The Arcam PA240 is a high-performance, Class G stereo power amplifier designed to deliver both exceptional musical detail and substantial power reserves. Part of Arcam’s premium HDA range, it combines advanced engineering with refined sound quality, making it a superb partner for high-end music systems and home theatre setups alike.
At its heart, the PA240 utilises Arcam’s innovative Class G amplification technology, offering the first 50 watts in pure Class A for a smooth and natural sound at everyday listening levels, while seamlessly switching to higher voltage rails when extra power is required. This ensures effortless drive and control over a wide range of loudspeakers, maintaining clarity, precision, and musicality even during the most dynamic passages.
With 225 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 380 watts into 4 ohms, the PA240 has ample headroom for both demanding speakers and high-level listening. For even greater performance, the amplifier can be bridged to deliver a powerful 790 watts into a single 8-ohm load, making it a versatile solution for both stereo and mono applications. The result is an amplifier equally at home driving a pair of reference hi-fi loudspeakers as it is powering the front channels of an advanced home theatre system.
