With a 2mV output level compatible with standard MM phono stages, the SH MK II removes the barrier of a dedicated MC phono stage without compromising a single element of Hana's signature musicality. The MK II upgrade introduces a new tapered aluminium cantilever with increased rigidity and reduced effective mass at the stylus tip. Cryogenically Treated for Natural Sound

Critical internal components — including the Yoke, Pole-pieces, and gold terminal pins — have undergone cryogenic treatment, a process borrowed directly from Hana's elite cartridge range. This deep-cold process relieves microscopic stress within the metal, resulting in a more open, natural, and musically composed sound from the very first play.

A Body Built for Performance and Compatibility

The SH MK II features an improved, non-resonant body shape modelled after the Hana M Series, damped with a matte soft-feel black elastomeric resin paint for effective resonance control. A brass cap with threaded mounting fittings ensures secure and precise installation, while the slightly heavier mass improves tonearm coupling and expands compatibility across a broader range of arms — with tangible improvements to bass weight and dynamic authority.
