The Plinth — Ultra-Lightweight, Uncompromising Rigidity

Rega has pioneered lightweight, rigid plinth design for decades, and the Planar 6 RS Edition represents that philosophy at its finest. The Tancast 8 foam core is bonded with a highly rigid phenolic resin skin (HPL) and finished with a stunning brushed aluminium metal skin and matching edging — beautiful to look at, acoustically inert by design.

Further reinforced with Rega's Double Brace Technology, a structurally optimised "stressed beam" assembly runs between the tonearm mounting and the main hub bearing — precisely where rigidity matters most.
