Bamboo Shelving: Atacama's signature high-density carbonised bamboo offers significant sonic advantages over traditional hardwood and veneered supports. Its unique micro growth pore structure excels at both absorbing unwanted vibrations and controlling resonance. The carefully chosen production processes, layering, density, and overall thickness are all optimised for the best possible acoustic results.  

A.S.I.S.T. Dampening Gaskets: Incorporated into each module, the Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology (A.S.I.S.T.) utilises two dampening gaskets per leg. These innovative components are designed to reduce "ringing" and effectively isolate the aluminium leg components from the outer leg collar.  

Aluminium Top and Lower Caps with Internal Studs: These precisely engineered components act as resonance conductors. They provide a crucial escape route for unwanted energy generated by your equipment, directing it away from the bamboo shelves and allowing it to dissipate harmlessly through to the floor.

•  SE2 Upgrade - Mechanically Tuned Leg Lengths: The SE2 features legs that are 15mm longer than the standard Evoque. This seemingly small change results in a lower resonance frequency for each module*, contributing to a more natural and less coloured sound.  
• SE2 Upgrade - Leg Tuning Counterweights: Fine-tune your system's resonance with the addition of fully adjustable Nickel-plated Bronze frostrum counterweights to the internal leg studs*. This allows you to precisely dial out unwanted resonances introduced by your specific audio components.  
• SE2 Upgrade – A.V.R.D.C. Advanced Vectored Resonance Deflection Channels: A ground-breaking addition to each bamboo panel, the A.V.R.D.C. system employs a three-dimensional curvature geometric design meticulously crafted into the underside of each module. This multi-curve pattern neutralises high-frequency harmonic energy by strategically directing it away from your equipment towards the leg grounding components. Each channel features a "V" shape with a curve, maximising the redirection of vertical energy into a horizontal axis towards the legs. This innovative design effectively avoids resonance feedback and maximises the performance of each module.  
• SE2 – Advanced Bronze Isolation Coned Spikes: With the A.V.R.D.C. system efficiently channelling resonance away from the bamboo, the spike interface has been further optimised. The new, longer spikes are shaped to maximise energy transference between each module while still providing a crucial level of isolation – a concept we call Mechanical Grounding. This prevents any constriction of the dissipated energy, allowing it to freely transfer to the floor.  
• SE2 – Side Edge Contoured Bamboo Panels: The addition of contoured edges to the two side faces of each bamboo module actively combats resonance energy in the form of standing waves. Instead of allowing these waves to build up, the contours direct them towards the new A.V.R.D.C. channels, further enhancing the efficiency of each shelf. This clever design prevents constructive interference, where reflected waves reinforce each other, leading to unwanted sonic artefacts.

Important Considerations Regarding Bamboo Finish

Please be aware that bamboo is a natural material with inherent variations. The colours depicted in our photography are taken under controlled studio lighting and should be considered a representation only. Do not attempt to match these images with other wood furnishings. Batch colour, shading, room lighting, natural variation, and wood grain will all differ. Even variations between viewing screen types will make precise colour matching impossible.

As a general guideline, under typical home lighting, the Natural finish often presents a buttery appearance, while the Dark Finish tends to have a dark chocolate look. However, even within these descriptions, variations will occur.

Each level of the Evoque Eco 60-40 SE2 can support a substantial load of up to 30kg. The base module offers even greater flexibility, allowing you to exceed this by an additional 15kg (up to 45kg total) provided the extra weight is deducted from the overall capacity of the modules placed above it.
