Our thoughts

Midrange and bass motors developed for the 800 Series now sit inside this 700 Series flagship, which suits owners who want that engineering without stepping up a range.

The revised midrange and bass motors are designed to give those drivers more control, so the aim is a more settled low end from three bass drivers. An open tweeter grille mesh is designed to let the carbon dome tweeter's output pass with less obstruction, so the grille has less say over the top end. Improved capacitors and revised speaker terminals complete the update, and the rear connections are new too.

It suits a listener building a full-range tower system in a room large enough for a cabinet this tall and heavy, with Datuk Gloss or Midnight Blue Metallic cabinets and a black grille. Amplifier matching and room placement are the decisions worth raising, and our team is happy to talk them through by phone or in store.
