Chord Electronics Qutest DAC Digital to analogue converter pre loved
- Category
- Pre-Loved Electronics
Not sure it's the right fit for your room or system? Our team can talk you through it.
Chord's own filter code sits at the heart of this English-made DAC, and four digital inputs let it serve a mixed digital setup. This is a pre-loved trade-in, supplied with its original packaging and power supply.
Chord uses custom-coded Xilinx FPGA chips rather than an off-the-shelf DAC chip, which allows it to execute its own frequency-shaping filters. The galvanically isolated USB-B input is intended to keep the computer side electrically separate from the converter, while the colour lights on top show sample rate and active filter at a glance. Native DSD512 and 32-bit/768kHz PCM keep high-resolution libraries comfortably within range.
It suits owners with a computer, streamer or other digital sources who want one converter for high-resolution PCM and native DSD. Talk it through with the team by phone or in the showroom, particularly how its four digital inputs fit your existing sources and how the stereo RCA output connects to your amplifier.
