Premium performance. Advanced nine-conductor architecture. The EGM SoundWire Fusion builds on the Eclipse's engineering foundations with nine parallel silver-plated OFC conductors, FEP insulation, RS-150 silicone vibration damping, dual-layer EMI/RFI shielding, and EGM's 3rd generation terminations — in a 15mm red silicone sheath that is more flexible than the Eclipse while remaining more substantial than any competitor. Recommended minimum length: 2 metres.
Premium Performance. Advanced Architecture.
The EGM SoundWire Fusion occupies the premium tier of the SoundWire range — one step below the flagship Eclipse, but sharing the same fundamental engineering philosophy and many of the same construction elements. Where the Eclipse uses two large-bore 6.0mm² conductors, the Fusion takes a different approach: nine conductors in parallel, each individually insulated, each contributing to a lower-impedance, more symmetric current path that is both more flexible in physical handling and more sophisticated in electrical behaviour.
The Fusion is the power cable for reference-level integrated systems — high-end integrated amplifiers, flagship DACs and streamers, reference preamplifiers and phono stages, SACD players, AV processors, and audiophile power conditioners. It brings the same noise reduction design as the Eclipse — FEP insulation, RS-150 silicone vibration damping, 100% foil plus 85% OFC braided dual shielding — in a 15mm red silicone cable that is easier to route and handle than the 17mm Eclipse while remaining more capable and more carefully constructed than any similarly positioned competitor.
Nine-Conductor Parallel Architecture
The Fusion's defining engineering choice is its nine-conductor parallel configuration: three Active conductors (3 × 1mm²), three Neutral conductors (3 × 1mm²), and three Earth conductors (3 × 2.5mm²) — all in extra-fine stranded Class 5 OFC 99.9% with ASTM B298 Class B silver plating.
The parallel architecture provides several meaningful advantages over a single large-bore conductor of equivalent total cross-section. By distributing current across multiple smaller conductors, each operating below its capacity, the Fusion reduces skin-effect losses and improves high-frequency current transfer. Improved conductor symmetry between Active and Neutral paths reduces the potential for noise injection into the power waveform. And the multiple fine-stranded conductors combine to produce outstanding flexibility — allowing the Fusion to be routed through demanding installations far more easily than a single equivalent conductor.
The silver plating — ASTM B298 Class B standard — provides a minimum 2.5% conductivity increase over bare copper, along with enhanced corrosion resistance and improved high-frequency current transfer. The combined Active and Neutral cross-sections of 3mm² each provide excellent current-carrying capacity and low voltage drop under sustained high-current demand.
FEP Insulation — Minimal Dielectric Loss
Each of the nine conductors is individually insulated with Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) — one of the audio industry's most highly regarded dielectric materials. FEP's exceptionally low dielectric constant and minimal dielectric absorption ensure the power waveform is preserved with far greater fidelity than conventional PVC or PE insulation. FEP provides outstanding thermal stability (-10°C to +200°C), high insulation resistance, and exceptional resistance to moisture, chemicals, and ageing — a foundation of long-term electrical performance matched by very few materials.
PE Dielectric Filler & RS-150 Silicone Vibration Damping
A precision Polyethylene (PE) dielectric rope filler maintains conductor geometry within the cable core — preserving circular profile, minimising conductor movement, and reducing dielectric interaction between conductors. Over the insulated conductors, an RS-150 silicone elastomer vibration-damping layer provides mechanical isolation before the shielding system — absorbing and dissipating vibration that would otherwise couple into the conductors. This dedicated damping layer distinguishes the Fusion from the lower-tier Spectra series and is a key contributor to the Fusion's premium mechanical construction.
Dual-Layer Shielding — 100% Foil + 85% OFC Braid
The Fusion employs the same comprehensive dual-layer shielding system as the Eclipse. A 100% coverage aluminium/Mylar foil shield provides highly effective suppression of high-frequency EMI and RFI — the switching noise, Wi-Fi interference, and digital hash that infiltrate audio systems through the power line. Over the foil, an OFC 99.9% copper braided shield with minimum 85% coverage provides effective low-frequency EMI shielding, a low-impedance earth path, and enhanced mechanical durability. Together, the two layers deliver broad-spectrum protection that ensures exceptionally clean, stable power delivery to any connected component.
RS-150 Silicone Outer Sheath — 15mm, Red
The Fusion's RS-150 silicone elastomer outer sheath — rated to 180°C — provides outstanding flexibility alongside resistance to UV, ozone, moisture, oils, acids, and industrial chemicals. The sheath is halogen-free and flame retardant, finished in a rich red that immediately identifies the Fusion within a system. At 15mm outer diameter, the Fusion is more manageable than the 17mm Eclipse while remaining a substantially built, serious instrument — more flexible, easier to route, but unmistakably in the same performance tier.
EGM 3rd Generation Silver-Plated Copper Terminations
The Fusion is terminated with EGM's best 3rd generation silver-plated copper pins in thickly moulded, vibration-resistant barrel ends — the same termination standard as the flagship Eclipse. The quality of the connection point is preserved through to the last centimetre.

🔌 Nine-Conductor Parallel Architecture — Silver-Plated OFC
3 × Active + 3 × Neutral + 3 × Earth in parallel — Class 5 extra-fine stranded OFC 99.9% with ASTM B298 Class B silver plating. Lower impedance, improved conductor symmetry, better high-frequency transfer, and outstanding flexibility from a multi-conductor parallel design.
🔇 Same Dual-Layer Shielding as the Eclipse
100% coverage aluminium/Mylar foil + minimum 85% OFC 99.9% copper braided shield — broad-spectrum suppression of high- and low-frequency EMI and RFI, identical to the flagship Eclipse, for exceptionally clean and stable power delivery.
🔬 FEP Insulation + RS-150 Silicone Vibration Damping
Individual FEP insulation on each of the nine conductors (one of audio's lowest-loss dielectrics) plus a dedicated RS-150 silicone elastomer vibration-damping layer — the layer that distinguishes the Fusion from the Spectra series and delivers its premium mechanical performance.
🏆 EGM 3rd Generation Terminations — 15mm Red Silicone Sheath
EGM's best silver-plated copper terminations in vibration-resistant moulded barrel ends — the same standard as the Eclipse flagship — in a 15mm RS-150 silicone outer sheath rated to 180°C, more flexible than the Eclipse and finished in a distinctive red.
