The Ferrum BROEN is a network streaming transport. BROEN means bridge in Danish, and that is its job: it streams your music and sends it as a clean digital signal to the DAC of your choice. BROEN has no DAC or analogue outputs of its own, so you will need an external DAC. It pairs perfectly with Ferrum's own WANDLA and ERCO, and works with most quality third-party DACs.

At its heart is Ferrum's new SERCE digital-to-digital module, with FPGA-based reclocking and ultra-low jitter clocks on the synchronous outputs. The streaming and output domains are kept separate, and every audio output sits behind a galvanic isolation barrier to keep noise out of your DAC.

Powered by Volumio

BROEN runs Volumio OS 4, tailored for BROEN, with no subscription. You get Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect, AirPlay, UPnP/DLNA, web radio, multi-room playback, CD playback and ripping, and the Volumio plug-in store, including Roon Bridge. Control it from the iOS or Android app, a web browser or the front-panel buttons.

Made for WANDLA and HYPSOS

With Ferrum Streaming Control Technology (FSCT), a WANDLA or ERCO Gen 2 shows BROEN's track information on screen and controls playback from its touchscreen or remote. Add a HYPSOS power supply via the Ferrum Power Link to take BROEN's power supply to flagship level.
