Manual bias adjustment is what sets this 1981 Nakamichi apart, letting owners tune the deck to each tape rather than the other way round.
Fine bias can be set for Normal, Chrome and Metal tapes individually, so a mixed collection is not forced into a single compromise setting. Dolby B and Dolby C are both fitted, so tapes encoded with either system can be played back in the format they were recorded in. The two-head layout keeps recording and playback on one head and erasure on the other, and RCA line in and out lets the deck sit alongside a system's existing line-level components.
This pre-loved deck suits collectors and tape-focused listeners with a mixed library who want a Nakamichi in a system with line-level RCA connections.
