Anchoring dialogue to the screen is the whole brief for this centre channel, and PowerPort venting is intended to pull deeper, cleaner bass from a cabinet of this size.
Two 6.5-inch Dynamic Balance woofers share the midrange and bass load, which is designed to keep busy dialogue scenes from sounding strained. A 1-inch silk/polymer composite dome handles the top end. The magnetically shielded MDF cabinet is the practical point: it is designed to sit close to a flat-panel display. Its 5-way gold-plated binding posts suit a wide range of AV receivers. This is a pre-loved unit.
It suits a dedicated home theatre with a flat-panel TV, where the centre channel has to sit neatly beneath the display and work alongside the front speakers.
