Pro-Ject E1.2 Turntable — EISA Best Value Turntable 2025–2026

The heart of the Entry System is the Pro-Ject E1.2 — winner of the EISA Best Value Turntable award for 2025–2026, and one of the most thoughtfully engineered entry-level turntables available at any price. Its new 730g die-cast aluminium main platter provides an anti-resonant platform for your vinyl — precision-balanced in an additional manufacturing step to ensure a highly even spin, free from the wobble and resonance that afflict lesser designs.

The CNC-machined aluminium tonearm features a high-mass gimbal design with a precision pinpoint bearing — offering solid tracking stability and sound clarity that a conventional plastic tonearm cannot match. An oversized-diameter TPE decoupled counterweight is positioned closer to the moving parts, improving balance and tracking for better detail and bass response.

The factory-fitted Pick it MM E cartridge completes the picture. Using a miniature neodymium generator magnet in a low-mass system for improved tracking accuracy, a conical diamond tip for warm and smooth audio reproduction with low background noise, and a highly damped ABS body to reduce vibration-induced colouration to a vanishing level — it is a premium cartridge that is pre-adjusted by Pro-Ject's technicians before it leaves the factory. You simply connect the RCA cable, put on a record, and listen.

The Stereo Box E is the all-in-one amplifier solution the Entry System deserves. Where other affordable amplifiers prioritise features over quality, the Stereo Box E ensures no corners are cut — delivering a level of audio quality usually found in much more expensive components, through a fully analogue preamplifier stage and low-noise power amplifier that produces musical sound with lifelike characteristics.

Seven inputs cover every source you might want to connect. A phono RCA input for MM, MI, or high-output MC cartridges handles the E1.2 directly, without a separate phono stage. Two line inputs accommodate a CD player or streaming device. Coaxial and optical S/PDIF inputs connect digital sources — a TV, a CD transport — to the Stereo Box E's high-resolution DAC. Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD allows wireless streaming from any smartphone, tablet, or computer. And a USB-C output on the rear panel powers many modern streaming devices directly, eliminating the need for a separate power supply.

A 6.3mm headphone jack with automatic output switching makes private listening effortless. The brushed aluminium front panel with full aluminium buttons, combined with a heavy-duty steel case, protects the sensitive electronics and gives the Stereo Box E a build quality that looks and feels far beyond its price point.
