Bass that impresses, slimness that stuns

In the development of the Diamond Sub, we placed a strong emphasis on the compact size of the enclosure. It required an unconventional and innovative approach to the design of the bass-reflex tunnel. Our final solution allowed us to reduce turbulence and optimise acoustic losses, producing excellent bass and sub-bass reproduction that reveals all its depth and structure. The enclosure reflects the distinctive style of the entire Diamond series products, including a beautiful angled design that helps to direct the front of the acoustic wave toward the listening area.

Core of deep sound

The core of the Diamond Sub is the highly efficient driver distinguished by a sizeable magnetic circuit capable of generating a potent and stable magnetic field. The extremely rigid openwork basket, injection moulded from metal, minimises air loss and noise and eliminates unwanted reflections and resonances. The stiff and firm diaphragm exhibits virtually no natural resonances in the subwoofer’s operating range, which means absolute precision in converting voice coil motion into sound pressure. The speaker’s operating range, not limited by the overhead suspension made of low-loss rubber, is well controlled by a linear spring and limited by power amplifier protection. The driver is housed in a rigid, durable enclosure with ribbing and carefully placed reinforcements.

State-of-the-art amplifier

A high-tech 350-watt amplifier, operating in Class-D, ensures that more than 90% of the power delivered to the unit is transferred to the speaker voice coil. Furthermore, it has a wide-range adjustable active analog filter circuitry that allows optimal matching of the lowest frequency bandwidth to the other components of the set. It is possible to connect Diamond Sub to both the high-level and the PRE-OUT outputs of a power amplifier or preamplifier. Finally, you can bypass the subwoofer’s controls when an external device manages bandwidth by connecting it directly through a dedicated LFE input.
