Our thoughts

Vintage walnut cabinetry around an in-house driver set, with a presentation aimed at forward, rhythmic listening over long sessions. The two-way layout hands the lower range to a large paper-cone midwoofer and the top end to a compression driver.

The 12-inch midwoofer covers the bulk of the vocal and instrumental range before handing over to the compression driver. The 91 dB efficiency means the speakers are designed to work with low-power tube amplifiers as well as powerful solid-state models, so amplifier choice stays open. Profiled feet or an accessory stand tilt the cabinet so the output is aimed at seated ear height.

The Jade 20 suits listeners in rooms of roughly 18 to 45 square metres who want classic cabinetry with modern drivers, for long sessions and a steady backdrop for work or relaxation. Pylon Jade 20 floorstanding speakers: concert-like experience with vintage style

The Jade 20 is an outstanding concert-like performer: a combination of “strong sound” with unlimited freedom and the natural scale of instruments. The loudspeakers sound vital, with a strongly marked foreground, rhythmic and strong bass, and colourful highs. This set creates a friendly concert atmosphere during hours long listening sessions as well as a suggestive background for both work and relaxation.

Modern drivers for superior sound

In this two-way design, we entrusted the lower bandwidth to a designed in house, 12-inch midwoofer with a classic, paper diaphragm. The BMS compression driver, responsible for the top, is working in a short tube with a Tractrix profile, specially designed by our engineers. The appropriate selection and efficiency of the transducers allowed us to obtain a bandwidth division at around 1200 Hz. Thanks to the 8-ohm impedance and efficiency of 91 dB, the Jade 20’s are easy to set up – they can be easily driven by a low-power tube amplifier and they’re showing their claws and full potential with a powerful transistor amp.

Refined design, excellent craftsmanship

The enclosure is made of solid MDF panels with additional ribbing and reinforcements in key areas, ensuring structural rigidity. The gentle speaker tilt, achieved by specially profiled feet or an accessory taller stand, focuses the sound wave at the listener’s ear level. The Jade 20 is finished with a natural, oil-wax-coated American walnut veneer, emphasising the vintage aesthetic. The whole is completed by a speaker grille with classic peg mounts.
