The audiophile gateway drug. Three years in the making. The Rega Replay delivers exceptional sound at an accessible price — with a handmade RB110 tonearm, factory-fitted and perfectly aligned Carbon moving magnet cartridge, phenolic resin platter, 24V synchronous motor, and Rega's lifetime warranty. Ready to play in under one minute. Handmade in the UK.
The Audiophile Gateway Drug
There is a particular challenge in making an entry-level turntable. The temptation is to cut corners — to use a cheaper mechanism here, a less precise bearing there — confident that the customer won't know the difference. Rega has spent more than 50 years making turntables and has earned the right to a different view: a turntable that sounds genuinely musical, that is genuinely easy to use, and that rewards the listener rather than frustrating them, doesn't happen by accident. It happens through engineering.
The Replay is the product of three years of refinement — a deliberate, disciplined effort to bring every engineering decision Rega has made across half a century of turntable design to the most accessible price point in the current range. The result is, in Rega's own words, "the audiophile gateway drug": a turntable that sounds far better than its price suggests, that removes every barrier between the listener and their music, and that is handmade in the UK with the same care and precision as the Planar 10 that sits above it.
Whatever You Play, Replay — Under One Minute to Music
Rega understands that entering the world of turntables can feel daunting. The Replay removes all that uncertainty. Unbox. Push the balance weight onto the rear of the RB110 tonearm as far as it goes. Connect the tonearm leads to an amplifier or phono stage. Remove the stylus guard. Put on a record. Switch on. Cue. Listen.
That is the entire setup process. No arm balancing. No anti-skate adjustment. No wondering whether settings are correct. The Replay can be setup and ready to use in under one minute. The pre-set, non-adjustable bias on the RB110 means there is nothing to configure — just music as the artist intended, from the very first record.
RB110 Tonearm — Patented Ultra-Low Friction Bearings, Handmade
Replay uses the latest generation of RB110 tonearm built using Rega designed, bespoke, ultra-low friction bearings (patented). The RB110 design includes a factory pre-set non adjustable bias setting negating the need for the user to set bias. The RB110 headshell has been ergonomically designed for improved usability and appearance. A 111g 'plug & play' balance weight is included.
The RB110 is a handmade Rega tonearm — and that matters. Tonearm bearing quality is fundamental to how accurately the stylus tracks the groove, and Rega's patented ultra-low friction bearing design ensures the arm can respond to the finest modulations in the vinyl without the stiction and mechanical noise that inferior bearings introduce. The pre-set bias means there is one less variable for the new vinyl listener — and one less way to inadvertently compromise the listening experience.
Factory-Fitted Carbon Cartridge — Perfectly Aligned
Rega Carbon cartridge supplied fitted as standard. Each cartridge is meticulously fitted and perfectly aligned to guarantee optimum performance straight out of the box.
Cartridge alignment is one of the most critical and most commonly neglected aspects of turntable setup. A misaligned cartridge can cause inner groove distortion, channel imbalance, and accelerated stylus and record wear — none of which are audible problems the listener should be creating at this stage. Every Replay leaves the Rega factory with its Carbon cartridge fitted and aligned by the same Rega technicians who build the turntable. The alignment is correct. The tracking force is correct. Nothing needs to be done.
The Carbon cartridge features a replaceable stylus — allowing straightforward stylus replacement or upgrade to the Carbon Pro bonded elliptical stylus for improved tracking and detail.
Phenolic Resin Platter — Flywheel Effect for Speed Stability
23mm, higher mass, phenolic platter with improved flywheel effect for improved speed stability and custom white mat. The mat design has a different texture on one side to optimise grip to the textured platter surface.
Phenolic resin is an acoustically well-regarded platter material — dense, resonance-resistant, and chosen by Rega for its contribution to a more stable, more musical sound. The higher mass of the Replay's platter compared to a standard plastic design improves the flywheel effect — the platter's resistance to speed variation under the stylus drag that every record exerts. More rotational inertia means more consistent speed, and more consistent speed means more accurate pitch and more natural, musical playback.
24V Low Noise Synchronous Motor Module
Replay uses our bespoke 24V synchronous AC all in one low noise low vibration motor module. The module includes a new PCB, CNC machined aluminium pulley, an integrated power switch, power input, rear foot and inbuilt ventilation.
The motor is the source of mechanical energy that spins the platter — and motor noise and vibration are the enemy of clean vinyl reproduction. Rega's 24V synchronous motor is purpose-designed for this application: low noise, low vibration, and driven by an accurately regulated AC supply for stable speed. The CNC machined aluminium pulley ensures consistent belt contact. All motor functions — power switch, power input, rear foot — are integrated into a single module for a clean, minimal installation.
Performance Brass Main Bearing
Performance brass main bearing, offering improved fit and removing stress on the bearing itself whilst minimising the transfer of potential energy (patent pending).
The main bearing is the mechanical heart of the turntable — and its quality determines the noise floor, the speed stability, and the longevity of the entire mechanism. Rega's performance brass bearing for the Replay is factory sealed, precision-fitted, and designed to minimise energy transfer that would otherwise colour the sound.
Low Mass Skeletal Plinth — Rega Philosophy
High rigidity, laminated low mass skeletal design plinth with black MDF core.
Rega's plinth philosophy — shared across the Replay, Planar 1, Planar 2, Planar 3, and beyond — is low mass, high rigidity. A heavy plinth stores energy and releases it; a light, rigid plinth does neither. The Replay's skeletal design is a direct expression of this principle, stripping away material that would add resonance while keeping the structural integrity that stable turntable operation demands.
Lifetime Warranty — Handmade in the UK
Every Rega product carries a lifetime limited warranty against manufacturing defects — the expression of a company that builds products it is confident will last, and stands behind them. Like all Rega turntables, the Replay is handmade at Rega's factory in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, UK.
