Lighter Diaphragms of the Earphones, Electrostatic Sound

The STAX SRS-002 has 15% lighter diaphragms than the older, now discontinued S-001/MK2. These headphones result in further resolution, transparency and pure listening pleasure. Electrostatic designed have been pioneered by Stax and they are clearly at the top of the game. The electrostatic headphones operate on a an unconventional level unlike other headphones that feature dynamic and moving coil designs. In most headphones, the drivers are heavier, making it difficult to recreate detail in playback due to mass.

Improved Power Supply on the SRM-002 Amplifier

The newly designed driver unit SRM-002 featuring improved power supply has made it possible to get enough perfor- mance also when using a chargeable battery with lower voltage not to mention an alkaline dry cell. Furthermore, the unit can be switched over to ECO and normal modes to enjoy the difference in tone quality.

Open-Back Redesigned Earpiece. Improved Wearing Comfort with 3 Kinds of Earpads.

The redesigned ear canal type structure of the SR-002 enables you to enjoy excellent electrostatic sound quality without covering your ears. Three kinds of ear pads (ear piece) are also attached so that the SR-002 can offer better wearing comfort with the improved form of ear pads. Moreover, an exclusive head band (overhead arc) is provided to obtain more stable wearing feeling.
