Reelex™ Patented Winding — Tangle and Twist-Free Payout

The defining feature of Tierium speaker cable is its Reelex™ patented winding pattern — a purpose-built coiling method that winds the cable in a figure-eight pattern, allowing it to dispense from the inside-out without twists, tangles, snags or overruns.

Unlike conventional reel-based systems, the Reelex™ coil does not rotate during payout. There is no inertia, no need for payoff stands or brakes, and no moving internal parts for the cable to snag against. The cable simply feeds smoothly and consistently from the box, however it is positioned — dramatically reducing installation time and frustration, particularly in confined spaces or over long cable runs.

The Tierium box itself reflects this engineering philosophy: heavy-duty 24kg-rated cardboard with reinforced handles, a water-resistant paper laminate finish, and a Big Mouth payout opening that allows the cable to flow freely without restriction.

99.99% Oxygen-Free Annealed Copper

Tierium speaker cable is constructed from 99.99% oxygen-free annealed copper — the same grade of conductor used in premium audiophile and professional audio applications. Oxygen-free copper offers superior conductivity, improved signal integrity and greater long-term resistance to oxidation compared to standard copper conductors. The annealing process further enhances flexibility, making the cable easier to route, terminate and dress — a significant advantage in complex commercial installations.

Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) Jacket — Safer for People and the Environment

The Tierium LSZH cable jacket is free from halogens — chemicals present in standard PVC insulation that, when burned, release toxic acids capable of causing serious harm to people and lasting damage to equipment. When PVC burns, it releases chlorine, which combines with hydrogen to form hydrochloric acid — an aggressive acid that can damage lungs, eyes and electronic equipment far removed from the source of a fire.

LSZH compounds take a fundamentally different approach: instead of releasing toxic gases, they release water or other non-toxic compounds to suppress flame. The result is dramatically reduced toxicity and smoke in the event of a fire — a critical safety advantage in enclosed spaces such as offices, tunnels, data centres, commercial AV installations and residential wall cavities.

Tierium LSZH cable is also compatible with Green Star applications, making it suitable for environmentally certified building projects.

Metre Marked with Room ID Identification

Each Tierium cable box includes metre marking and room ID identification printed on the cable jacket, simplifying cable management, documentation and future servicing in complex multi-room or commercial installations.
