Designed specifically for audiophile systems, the S05 is not simply a piece of furniture — it is an acoustic component in its own right.

Optimal Listening Height — 62cm

At 620mm without spikes and 640mm with spikes fitted, the S05 positions your bookshelf speakers at ear level for a seated listener — the ideal placement for accurate imaging, precise soundstage presentation and the full benefit of the speaker's on-axis frequency response. Where a speaker is placed is as important as what it sits on, and the S05 addresses both with equal care.

Robust Construction for Maximum Stability

The S05's central structure is an aluminium tubular column, developed by Triangle to deliver exceptional structural rigidity while simultaneously absorbing and dissipating the unwanted vibrations that speakers generate during operation. This dual function — mechanical strength and vibration control — ensures that energy from your speakers goes into the room as sound, not into the stand as resonance.

The 180 × 295mm top plate features a non-slip coating for secure speaker placement, and is rated to support speakers weighing up to 25kg. A special mounting system is available for Triangle Comète 40th Anniversary models for a fully optimised integration.

Glass-Finish Base with Adaptive Decoupling

The base plate features an elegant glass finish moulded at high temperature, combining visual refinement with substantial mass for a stable, low-centre-of-gravity foundation. An adaptive decoupling system allows the S05 to be optimised for any floor type:

• Adjustable steel spikes — for carpeted floors, providing firm coupling to the floor beneath
• Rubber pads — for hard floors such as timber, tile or stone, preventing marking and providing gentle decoupling

Both options are included and can be swapped as needed.

Fillable for Enhanced Performance

For those who wish to maximise sonic performance, the S05's tubular structure can be filled with fine sand or steel ball bearings. Added mass increases stability and dampens internal resonances within the column, resulting in a quieter, more acoustically inert platform and a noticeably more focused, detailed presentation from the speakers above.

Two plastic ballast bags are included for this purpose.

Integrated Cable Management

A rear-facing cable pass-through allows speaker cables to be routed discreetly inside the stand, keeping your system tidy and minimising visible cable runs. A thoughtful detail that reflects Triangle's commitment to both acoustic and aesthetic integration.

Refined Design — Five Finishes
