TZ2540MG — The New Horn Tweeter

The headline acoustic innovation of the Solstice range is the TZ2540MG — a 25mm barrel-shaped magnesium alloy horn tweeter built around two new acoustic architectures developed specifically for this family of speakers.

A new phase plug optimises the dispersion of high frequencies across the listening field, ensuring that the tweeter's output remains extended and consistent well off-axis. A horn with an improved profile and barrel-shaped mouth manages the transition from driver to room with greater precision and lower coloration than conventional dome designs. The result is high-frequency reproduction that is extended, refined, and entirely free from the brightness or hardness that lesser tweeters can introduce — detail and air where the music demands it, restraint and naturalness everywhere else.

16cm Natural Cellulose Midwoofer — DVAS Vibration Absorption

The 16cm midwoofer at the heart of the Solstice 3 is built around a new die-cast aluminium basket with Triangle's arch-shaped acoustically neutral structure, and features a natural cellulose pulp membrane — chosen for its ability to reproduce timbres with finesse whilst maintaining excellent responsiveness across a wide dynamic range.

Uniquely, the Solstice 3 incorporates Triangle's exclusive DVAS (Driver Vibration Absorption System) — a design that reduces vibrations through the clever integration of the drivers into the speaker's structure, improving the overall rigidity of the cabinet and dampening the unwanted frequencies that driver movement inevitably generates. The sonic result is immediately apparent: sound reproduction gains in clarity, detail, and dynamic contrast, with a more precisely rendered stereo image and a lower overall noise floor.

Laminar Bass-Reflex Base — Innovation at Every Level

The Solstice 3's multi-function base brings together four engineering achievements in a single, beautifully resolved structure — a first for Triangle.

A hidden laminar bass-reflex port reduces flow noise while ensuring dynamic and perfectly controlled low-frequency output. A dual-material base construction — cast iron honeycomb covered with a thick silicone layer — absorbs vibrations and mechanically decouples the speaker from its surface. A 2-degree forward tilt optimises the speaker's directionality and widens the listening field. The result is a bookshelf speaker that is as considered in its mechanical engineering as it is in its acoustic design.

Designed to 360° — Every Detail Considered

The Solstice 3's attention to detail extends to the terminal block — a new design with a champagne finish, compatible with both stripped cables and banana plugs, housed within a silicone ring whose sculpted pattern echoes the cabinet design.
