YG Acoustics - Descent - Active Subwoofer (EA)

YG Acoustics was founded in Colorado in 2002 by Yoav Geva, an engineer whose background in precision

machining led him to a conclusion that few loudspeaker designers are willing to act on: that truly accurate sound

reproduction requires tolerances measured in thousandths of an inch, and that the only way to achieve this is to

machine every critical component from solid aluminium billet — in-house, under complete control. The name

itself is simply his initials. The ambition is anything but simple.

ENGINEERING PHILOSOPHY

Every driver in a YG Acoustics loudspeaker is designed and built at the Colorado factory, a degree of vertical

integration unmatched in the industry. The cabinet walls, driver baskets, and waveguides are machined rather

than cast or pressed, eliminating the microscopic imperfections that cause coloration in conventionally built

speakers. The result is a loudspeaker that measures extraordinarily well — not because YG engineers design to

measurements, but because they have eliminated the sources of error that other manufacturers have learned to

work around. When you listen to a YG Acoustics speaker, you are hearing the recording. Nothing is added.

Nothing is softened. Nothing is hidden.

WHY THE AUDIO TAILOR CARRIES YG ACOUSTICS

We carry YG Acoustics because it represents the clearest answer we have found to the question every serious

audio client eventually asks: what does the recording actually sound like? If you are ready for that answer, we would like to introduce you to these speakers in person.
